Celtic Celebration of Fire


Celtic Celebration of FireImbolc February 1st the Celtic celebration of fire, with spring showing us the new green shoots and daylight staying with us a little longer. Milk was thrown on the land to encourage nature to give back to us in plenty for the coming year. Candles were lit to encourage the Sun to shine its light on us more as the days hasten to summer.

St Bridget, the Christian take on Imbolc also celebrated on February 1st. A woman who represented fire and water. She is the Saint who presides over many healing wells and who’s flame is symbolic of the eternal flame of life. Wishing all our friends, followers and clients much light, good health, prosperity, warmth and eternal love on this day of Imbolc.
